Testing of Testing Test Arc Above All Else: A Factory Too Far

Arashi rushes into the horde of androids at amazing speed. However after the first two attacks these androids were ready. The Saiyan tries to take a swing at the Android in front row only for it to jump out of range. He attempts to hit another target with a low kick but hits nothing but air. The pattern repeated itself for several seconds with no susscess! The Androids simply duck and leap out of danger each time!

Arashi attempted a basic physical attack and misses.

Flusk's turn!

Flusk cracked his knuckles and his neck. "Let's not waste any more time getting this over with," he mused, rushing forward, drawing Lusk's horn as he did so. He lurched forward, slamming it outward. The crowd parted, however, and Flusk slid between the droids. Just as Flusk had planned. Using the horn as leverage, Flusk quickly twisted his body, slamming his leg through one of the droids. Quickly swinging the horn over his shoulder, he punched at another with his free hand to much the same effect.

"Just a little more, and it is finished."

Flusk attacks the Horde of Droids with 3 basic physical attacks! (AP 5 -> 3) He misses the first attack, but lands the second and third attack, inflicting 14 damage and 11 damage respectively! (HP 142 -> 128 -> 117)

Horde's turn!

The Horde, tired of getting punched at, quickly moved to action, two small groups breaking off from the horde. One made quickly for Arashi, thundering towards him with killing intent. At the same time, another group approached Flusk from all directions. Flusk leapt up to dodge, slamming the horn back down as he went. However, the horde quickly leapt back, seeing Flusk was not going down without a fight. Arashi merely leapt hard to one direction, before rolling into a crouch, ready to continue. Nero, meanwhile, reflected a cluster of red energy blasts with one hand, the blasts harmlessly exploding against the walls of the room.

The horde attacks three times, attacking Flusk with Zerg Rush, Nero with Group Blast Volley, and Arashi with Zerg Rush! Fluut, Nero, and Arashi avoided!

Nero's turn!

after deflecting that last shot, Nero races towards the droids yet again. kicking off the ground into a long jump. he comes down hard on a droid with a flying kick!! sending it straight back into its allies.

Nero hits the horde with a basic physical attack, dealing 9 damage!! horde 117 > 109

Ryo's turn!!

Ryo's, Arashi's and Flusk's turns!

Flusk held out one hand towards the droids, intent on taking some more down. Ryo stepped next to the large Namek, holding out his hand.

"Need some help?" asked Ryo, and he and Flusk began charging some energy. The horde seemed ready to counter at any moment, but remained stationary either way. Arashi stepped forward as well with a grin.

"Don't forget about me..." arashi said. With all three charging blasts, the three stood side by side, and as they did so, their blast merged into a single, white ball of death. With a mighty yell from all three, the attack was shot forward, and made contact with a few of the droids, blowing them up and kicking up smoke.

Ryo, Arashi, and Flusk use a Team Energy Attack (Ryo KP 38 -> 34; Arashi KP 26 -> 22; Flusk KP 41 -> 37) on the Horde of Droids, inflicting 19 damage! (HP 109 -> 90)

Horde of Droids' Turn!

However, there was no time to celebrate. As a unit, the remaining droids rushed forward, and caused the gathered fighters to scatter. Apparently, the unit decided to target the strongest, for after they had made the fighters scattered, the unit turned to Flusk en masse and opened fire on him. Flusk wove and dodged, moving between the blasts, but towards the end, got a bit careless, and felt the hot pain of an energy bolt glide across his bicep, leaving a small trench in the flesh.

"Are you alright!?" asked Arashi.

"Fine," said Flusk, the wound already working towards closing. "It's just a flesh wound..."

The Horde of Droids attacks Ryo with Zerg Rush, but misses. They then open fire on Flusk with the Group Blast Volley, hitting him once for ten damage! (Flusk HP 104 -> 94)

Atop the cliff the earlier party had arrived to at the start of this endeavor, Xalia stood watching over the building with a smile. She was happy to have had this encounter after a long while of boredom. it was time however for her to take her leave. She raised her clenched fist with thumb up.

"Today was a good day," her thumb lowered and pressed down on her index finger as if pressing a button although nothing was there.

In the generator room, a few stray droids stood guard. The generator and numerous places around technology begin to brightly glow golden, catching a droid's attention. And as it stepped for a closer look, each glow began to rapidly expand and explode in a mighty chain reaction that set everything ajar. The room beginning to fill with flame and explosions.

"Warning...Warning..." a robotic voice came from a console as the building itself began to shake and wind.

On the outside a quick plume of flame broke through the ceiling visibly. Xalia turned around taking a step, then another, then she seemed to blur out of sight.

Nero's turn!

The lights flicker and go out, and then the whole building shakes from the force of the explosion in the generator room, the building immediately begins destablizing. bits of metal falling from the cieling.

Nero immediately trys to capitilize on this. Leaping into the air as hard as he could. he twists around so that he can get footing on one of the falling bits of rubble and kicks off it. intending to come down hard on the horde of androids.

the horde however, reacts just intime to avoid any of their number getting hit as Nero's attack hits the ground, creating a small crater.

Nero also makes a Reflex save to avoid the falling chunks of the cieling.

Ryo's turn!!

Ryo's turn

Ryo took in the new surroundings and realized one very simple thing. Time was quickly running out. With this in mind, Ryo leapt forward with a mighty shout, but completely fucked up and misses his target, skidding to a halt. Ryo looked up, and, cursing himself, quickly began to move. Leaping between two ceiling chunks, Ryo grabbed the first object he could grab from the carnage, and threw it with all of his might at the nearest droid he could see. The rock bounced off, making the thing flinch comically. Ryo landed, shaking his head.

"This isn't looking good..."

Ryo attacks the horde with a basic physical attack, but misses! In his Reflex save however, he crits, and throws a piece of falling rubble at the droids, dealing 2 damage! (HP 90 -> 88)

Arashi's turn!

Arashi had no plans on being buried alive! It was about time that he accelerated the progress of this fight. As he closes his eyes Green Ki began to surround him from head to toe. His muscles begin to tense as he repeatedly exhaled and inhaled. Many Androids in The Horde noticed this and began to charge at him! They edged closer and closer to their target! A few more steps and they would've had their prey. Sadly they weren't quick enough.
A large quantity of chi had already enveloped Arashi's left arm!

Arashi had finished charging! He looked at them with in almost villainous smile. He pulled his left arm arm back and immediately through a montourus uppercut! It ripped the Android in front of the charge in half while the resulting shockwave pulverized the robots behind.

Arashi attempts Charged Physical attack and passes the manipulation check while scoring a critical!(Arashi KP 22>19) The attack hits and does 22 damage!Horde (HP 88 > 66)

Arashi celebrated in his success unfortunately letting his guard down was a near fatal mistake! A large piece of the ceiling broke off and came crashing down on him!

"God. . . . damn it!"


Arashi fails reflex save and receives 28 points of damage! Arashi (HP 54>26)

Due to Passive Regeneration, Flusk regains 2 HP at the start of his turn! (HP 94 -> 96)
Flusk's turn!

Seeing the building collapsing around him, Flusk came to a decision. There wasn't any more time to waste now. Destroy the remaining droids and get out of here. That was all that mattered. Once they were outside, then Lusk's healing ability could be used to full effect... but right now, the building was caving in.

"Everyone, spread out!" Flusk shouted, crossing his arms over his face, beginning to groan as his body seemed to glow with arcane light. His shape began to grow, and grow... and grow, his head hitting the ceiling, but not stopping. The already comprimised building gave way easily as the Namek's head burst through to the first floor, swiftly followed by his shoulders. Flusk's head nearly hit the first floor ceiling when he finally stopped growing.

Flusk uses 2 AP and 10 Ki to become Giant! (AP 3 -> 1; KP 37 -> 27) He then burns his final AP to attempt to attack! (AP 1 -> 0)

Flusk then lifted his giant leg, and brought it back down directly into the crowd, smashing a couple more droids as he did so. Others were partly caught, losing an arm or part of their head... However, in his recklessness, Flusk found his head getting assaulted with random debris, and he quickly protected it to avoid the painful truth.

Flusk uses a basic physical attack on the Horde, inflicting 13 damage! (Horde 66 -> 53)
He then fails his Reflex Save, taking 20 damage! (Flusk 188 -> 168)
Horde's turn

Seeing the giant Namek, the horde trained its sights on the big guy and opened fire. Somehow, most of their shots missed entirely, but some got through, hitting the large Namek for some light damage.

The horde attacks Flusk twice, hitting him with Group Blast volley for 8 damage! (Flusk 168 -> 160)

The ceiling continued to collapse, and a few of the droids caught some of the rubble, some letting out mechanical groans as they did so.

The horde fails its save, taking 14 damage from the ceiling as they are spread out! Horde 66 -> 52

Nero's turn!

Nero charges forward yet again. a purple glow coming from his fist as he attempts to dispose of one of the droids. however he makes a mistake with his footing. tripping and missing by a mile as the droid dodges. he manages to catch himself and weave out of the way as a chunk of the ceiling almost crushes him.

Nero attempts a charged physical attack, a critical fail. he then makes a reflex saving throw for the collapsing ceiling. Nero Cp 2 > 0

Ryo's turn!!

Seeing Nero fail and use the last of his energy made Ryo go forward with new determination. It may have been darker, but there was no excuse for what happened before! With that in mind, Ryo flew forward again, and this time nailing a droid, kicking it in two. Somehow, the two halves went over and smashed into two other droids that happened to be nearby. Ryo nodded, feeling pleased with himself... shortly before a large ceiling piece collided with his noggin.

"Ow!" Ryo grumbled, "Darn it... We'd better hurry and finish this."

Ryo attacks the Horde with a basic physical attack, inflicting 12 damage! (HP 52 -> 40)
Ryo fails his saving throw, being nailed with a piece of falling debris! He suffers 11 damage due to passing his Endure check! (Ryo 56 -> 45)


Arashi's turn!

After pulling himself together Arashi put all his strength into his arms and legs. The Saiyan began to lift the large ceiling piece over his head with both arms. Though heavily injured from the last hit Arashi had no plans on being the one who goes down first!

Pant pant pant "Catch!"
Arashi tossed the rock into the the air towards the horde. He then made a jump towards the large Rock with one leg lifted and with a might "HA" Arashi's jump kick sent the rock crashing into many of the robots.

Arashi attempts a Basic Physical Attack! It hits causing 13 damage! (Horde HP 40>27)

Due to passive regeneration, Flusk regains 4 HP at the start  of his turn! (Flusk HP 160 -> 164)
Flusk's turn!

Flusk briefly closed his eyes in concentration, charging energy into one of his massive hands as he did so. One more attack, Flusk thought, one more, and it would be finished. Purple-white energy danced in his hand. When the time was right, he threw his hand forward and down, at the remaining droids, and unleashed energy at them. The blast made contact with the ground, detonating in a fiery explosion. Droid parts flew everywhere, leaving but a single one with half of its head and its arm on the same side destroyed still standing.

Flusk attacks the group with a charged energy attack, using 8 KP (KP 27 -> 19) to boost the attack. He crits on the manipulation check, and hits the droid with the attack, dealing 22 damage to the droid! (HP 27 -> 5)

The ceiling continued to collapse, but this time, Flusk was more than ready, batting the falling ceiling aside with his free hand before it could make solid contact with his noggin.

Horde's turn!

The single remaining member of the defense forces defiantly raised its arm, and began firing wildly at Flusk to no success. In fact, the only thing it did was seal its fate. In blasting wildly, it had jarred what remained of the ceiling loose, and brought down the house on itself.

Horde attacks Flusk, but misses! It fails its reflex save against the ceiling, and proceeds to take 22 damage from the collapsing building! (Horde HP 5 -> 0)

Horde is defeated! Combat over!

Quickly, Flusk raised one hand, burning a bit more energy to blast the wall directly above the depowered generator. The ceiling, already fragile, collapsed into it and crushed the generator, causing the horrid sound of shattering metal to be heard throughout the place. Flusk then turned his head towards the ceiling.

"It's time to make our exit... This place can come down any second!" Flusk declared, raising one of his giant arms and proceeding to throw a punch. His arm suddenly began to stretch outward, slamming through the ceiling of the first floor, making a decent-sized hole in it. His fist didn't stop there, bursting through the ceiling of the second floor, and indeed, stopping only once it punched straight through the roof. His job as a giant done, Flusk began to shrink down to his normal size.

"That's our emergency exit," Flusk declared, pointing upwards. "It'll take some doing, but we should be able to get out through there!"

OOC: So, three chances. What our characters are doing, if they choose to follow Flusk's idea, is to leap upwards, using the debris to their advantage to make a hasty exit. It'd be DC 24 to make it from the basement to the roof in one shot (Movement). (20 or better gets you out of the basement).[/i]

Though this experince was fun for Arashi it was time to make a hasty exit. The Saiyan slowly squatted down with both arms stretched out behind his back. Arashi looked up as his legs tensed up!

"Dick Grayson don't fail me now!"
With a loud bang Arashi jumped upward with all his strength. He kept getting higher and higher until he slammed into one of the falling rocks arms first. He quickly made his way to his next "stepping stone" then continued to flip, leap, and punch his way to the roof. Arashi somersaulted off the roof and landed on a small patch of grass. The young man sat down to catch his breathe, he may still be alive but he was far from peak condition.
"I can't wait to eat some beans,eggs,and chicken after this. Now to wait."

Nero kicked off the ground after Arashi. while he tried to land on one of the falling bits of metal he almost immediately lost his footing. he fell straight back to the ground with a hard thud.

"Not much time left... we have to make it!" Flusk said.

" Come on guys you're almost there." Arashi shouted down to the others.

Nero stood up slowly, dazed from the impact against the floor. and looked up. "(i still have time)" he thought. "just one more shot..." he muttered to himself. and kicked off yet again. this time he managed to keep his footing on the first metal chunk. and kept jumping from one to the next. when he reached the last chunk. he leaped as hard as he could. coming down on the roof with the others.

The ceiling continued to crumble. It would be seconds now before the entire structure collapsed. Ryo watched, and briefly looked to Flusk.

“Aren’t you coming!?” asked Ryo, leaping up towards the falling chunks quickly, “We’ve got to—”

Ryo nearly caught an oversized concrete blob to the head, and forced himself to stop. Ryo fell several feet, but caught another piece, and launched himself off of it.

“I’ll be up as soon as possible,” said Flusk, tensing his legs in preparation for the jump.

Ryo continued to fly upwards and out, but his eyes went wide again. Two concrete-metal blobs of debris were coming together, and slammed together as Ryo passed through them. Riding the mess down for a bit, Ryo quickly launched himself forward, punching aside a chunk to make it upwards. Twisting in the air, Ryo swiftly planted his feet on a stable section of the third floor, and launched himself one final time, coming out of the whole.

“Hurry, Fluut,” said Nero, his expression woefully incapable of reflecting the direness of the situation. As the three fighters on the roof began to leap forward, letting the structure start to collapse, Flusk finally made his move, as a terrible creaking, cracking noise ran through the area.

Flusk leapt straight upward, his gaze aimed upwards. A large portion of the second floor suddenly crumbled and came crashing down, and Flusk wound up needing to blast some energy, trying to avoid the falling debris. He lost his momentum, trying to go again. Flusk, still carrying Lusk’s horn, quickly used the horn as leverage to vault back, trying to get out, but the first floor at his feet began to crumble now, and Flusk jumped awkwardly with a grunt, losing height and momentum—all he’d done was get to the other side of the hole he’d made! The building emitted a horrible sound, and Flusk fought himself to avoid being deafened by the sound.

Outside, Ryo, Arashi and Nero watched the totally compromised building begin to cave in on itself. The roof began to collapse in, the walls jittering dangerously as though they were about to come down next.

“Collapse is imminent,” Nero announced.

“Get out of there, Big Green!” shouted Arashi.

“C’mon, c’mon…”

Flusk grit his teeth, and tried one last time to launch himself through the hole, when the worst possible creaking sound occurred, and Flusk’s eyes went wide. The entire building was coming down. He failed to make it. With the first floor now rapidly collapsing together with the whole building, Flusk could do nothing but cover his head and make himself as small as possible as he braced for the worst…

Outside, Nero, Arashi, and Ryo could only watch in horror as the building began to cave in with several tremendous crashing noises, creaking noises, and several godawful “booms” after the other as the floors made impact with one another and the walls. Fluut hadn’t made it out in time! The building finished crumbling, and soon, the smog of dust cleared with the wind. For a long moment, there was nothing but silence.

“Nah… no, no, no! He was the toughest out of all of us! He can’t be dead!” Arashi shouted, staring at the ruins that he and the other two had just barely escaped from.

“He couldn’t have… right?” Ryo asked, turning to Nero, whose expression remained the same, even as he read out the following.

“Probability of survival… low…” Nero droned.

“No… He can’t…” Ryo said, “That’s… that wasn’t supposed to…”

There was another long silence, followed shortly by the sound of some rumbling. Something was moving under the earth. Something powerful.

“Now what’s up…?” Ryo asked, tensing at the noise.

“Sensors do not detect any other lifeforms nearby…” Nero said.

“I don’t see anyone…”

At that moment, with a tremendous crash, something huge and green burst out of the rubble, followed closely by another. The hands bore only four fingers (counting the thumb), and clenched tightly on the rubble.

“Knew it!” Arashi cheered as soon as he realized what was going on.

Ryo and Nero shared similar reactions. The hands gripped extra tight on the ground outside what used to be a building, and then something burst forth from the rubble—a battle damaged Namek, who was at first huge, but rapidly shrinking as he cleared the rubble. Lusk’s horn was a bit dented, but otherwise usable. Flusk soon twisted through the air, and landed down on the ground next to his team.

“I thought you were a goner…” said Ryo, wiping his brow in relief.

“It’ll take more than that to take me down…” Flusk said.

“However, this is just the beginning,” Nero pointed out, “There is still a whole war we have to win.”

“War?” Ryo asked, “You mean…?”

“Yes,” Flusk said, examining his horn, “I’ll have you back at HQ with us. It’s time to form a team capable of taking these people down!”

And so, with no further words between them, the team of four left, Flusk playing a mystical tune on the lightly damaged horn, as they moved into tomorrow, and as he did, Ryo and Arashi felt themselves grow better and better…

END TEST ARC

OOC: Now, normally I’d show the total experience earned by all participants in the arc for various things, killing enemies, participating in battles, using cunning to avoid battles, rescuing people in need of it, etc. However, since this is a test arc, and so was the last one, I have instead decided on this. Any character who participated in the test arcs gains enough EXP to level up to 2 automatically. This grants you 5 SP (unless you’re a full human/anthro, in which case, 6), and 10 Tech Points (or 12 if human/anthro).

Anyone else who did other things to help me test will gain a little bonus EXP. That will be revealed to you once you level up. So, now, with this final test arc done, hopefully we can start the official story soon. Until then.
