Tragic Foe! Unexpected Justice! Otis vs...No Way!?

Good grief...

He'd only come to Plainsville to purchase a new air of inline skates from a local producer who had treated him well. But just after he'd picked up a fresh warm pretzel from a street vendor, total mayhem filled the streets.

Explosions went off in the nearby distance, amongst local buildings. All sorts of noise started to emanate from in town...now Otis would have to deal with this.

When he arrived to investigate, he found quite the surprise. Amoung the fleeing civilians, at their very center, was a rampaging Namekian he knew quite well.

In the middle of lifting up a local man's truck, he turned to Otis, who found his friend/companion/partner's eyes to be purple and puffy. Lusk, grunting, seemed to find Otis across the crowd.

"Oh no..." Otis murmured. He looked down in contempt. His pretzel has gotten cold...

Lusk tugged the truck over his head, testing its weight as he eyes the distracted Otis.

Lusk makes his Strength Save (Roll: 14), lifting up the truck!

The crowd quickly filtered out, as Lusk tossed the truck through the air towards his cyborg friend. Without missing a beat, Otis shot the machine out of the sky, before turning his head towards the attacker.  

Otis attacks the Truck with a Charged Ki Blast (KP -#Blank #Blank -> #Blank), wiping out all 25 of its HP! (HP 25 -> 0)

The last fragments of the destroyed truck landed to the ground making scraping, ticking noises as they did, the smell of burning oil wafted briefly in the air. Otis's free hand clenched in anger and his legs shifted diagonally into a combat stance as he quickly glanced at the devastation around him.

Lusk had crossed a line, the very store Otis had traveled so far to reach was visibly burning! It's front windows completely gone and shattered and whatever merchandise inside was certain to have fire damage if not disintegrated outright. The level of damage guaranteed that if the business owner was even still alive, he would never recover.

The cyborg remained silent, but in his anger the air distorted around him like an open flame. Reprisal for the Namek's actions were more important than finishing his snack or theatrics however, and Otis dropped his half-eaten pretzel as he dashed toward his target. Unlike the pretzel which successfully hit the exposed concrete, the cyborg's attempt at a kick in the face was handily evaded.

The smell of burning oil spurred on the corrupted Lusk, violent eyes darting past Otis's missed kick, for his exposed side. Pulling a fist back, he let in forward into the cyborg's side. His foes body was incredibly heavy, hardly launching back from the impact. Otis had taken the blow with ease, landing on his feet a few feet away.

Lusk attacks Otis with a Punch, but Otis scores a natural 20 on his Endure! He shaves off 2/3rds of the damage, totaling 4 damage inflicted! (HP 74 -> 70)

The berserker gave a slight grin at the possible challenge presented...

The brute strength of his adversary coupled with the rage and awareness to apply it meant Otis would be at a disadvantage in melee. That was fine by him, as the distance created from Lusk's strike was just enough for the cyborg to attack at range.

Otis outstretched his left arm, his hand shaped in a claw and pointed at the Namek. A flash of light erupted from his palm followed by the sound of a cannon a split-second later. Much like before, Lusk was able to dodge with relative ease, the ki blast zoomed onward until it hit the ground down the road, causing an eruption of asphalt that left a narrow trench.

All of this seemed to happen within a couple brief seconds. In this short time Otis extended his other arm and repeated the gesture and in contrast had stellar results. The energy shot connected dead center with Lusk's torso, causing him to recoil in midair and grunt in pain, composing himself enough to clumsily land on his feet. The center of his abdomen marked by a hole in his shirt roughly an inch in diameter with a thin stain of blood surrounding it, whatever wound created by the attack was obscured by a shift in the Namek's clothing.

Otis burns an AP (6 -> 5) to repeat his maneuver (KP -4 40 -> 36), and Lusk fails his Endure, inflicting 14 damage! (75 -> 61)

Lusk heals 2 damage from Passive Regeneration! (HP 61 -> 63)

As purple blood flowed forth, staining his shirts green cloth, the Namekians natural healing worked to mend it. Raising a foot off the street, he broke into a run, yellow ki gathering between his fingertips.

Otis eyed it carefully, as even the wild Lusk attempted to move with some manner of tactic. Zig zagging across the distance between them, tossing his gathered energy from one hand to the other, he finally threw it forward with only a few feet between the two.

Otis expected the shot to come from the left hand, moving to curve past Lusk's right side, but the gathered power ended up in the right hand, and the blast hit its target.

Yet in a burst of focus, Otis raised his guard just in time for the impact.

"BOOOOOOOM"

As Otis's body flung back out of the explosion, he had clearly negated most of the damage. Lusk gave a deep breath from the exertion...
