Average Test Battle of Mediocrity: Lusk Vs Lexon

Your average day on base was a quiet one. Just over two hundred military personnel were stationed here, at the headquarters of the Neo Earths Special Forces, relatively few for the importance of the location. From the chefs to the soldiers to the science division, each person was carefully picked to work in the US's most secret facility.

Today several dozen's of them were gathered and cheering loudly into the sunny skies. The lot of them were gathered around two individuals, one Earthling and one Namekian.

Lusk stood at his usual great height, nearing eight feet tall, sporting recreations of the garb he'd traveled to Earth wearing. He swung his heavy white horn over his shoulder, it's length as great as the man's height. "I waited weeks for this..." he said with a kind smile, "Your a busy one. I'm glad I could have your time."

"Yeah, busy...that's it." Lexon replied, one hand raised up to block the sun from his eyes. With his dark wolf fur and the unrestrained sun beating down on him, he was ready for some shade already...

Yanking free a canteen tied to his jean's belt loop, Lexon took a long drink before splashing the liquid into his facial fur. Finishing off its contents he tossed it aside, as a spectator caught it with a delighted squeal.

As the audience showed no signs of quieting down, the larger of the prepared fighters gave a nod.

"Shall we start?" Lusk questioned.

"Alright..." Lexon replied, and both disappeared from the sights of everyone present.

Lexon and Lusk appear in the audiences view for a moment. The wolf shifted his weight and threw a quick fist, but was unfortunately avoided as the Namekian smirked. Lexon backed away and exhaled, "I told you this wasn't a very good matchup, not very exciting for the audience. You should've chose someone more capable," he yawned for a moment.

But nonetheless he prepared himself for Lusk's follow up.

Lexon attempts a basic punch at Lusk, but misses!

"You give yourself to little credit my friend," Lusk remarked, unsuccessfully swiping at his opponents dark form. Lexon's reflexes were something to behold, even without frequent training to keep them honed. Lusk would have to plan his movements carefully. Gathering power into his right arm, an aura of ki trickled to life in the midst of his limb.

As the two dashed around, neither attacking, the opening for Lusk's strike arrived and he managed to jam his huge elbow into the Earthling's side.

Lusk successfully attempts a charged elbow (KP 87 -> 81) on Lexon, inflicting 18 damage! (50 -> 32)

As the elbow met it's mark, Lexon flinched. He followed through the attack's momentum into a spin as his fist embalmed in an aura of pulsating darkness. His teeth grit and his mouth opened.

"Shade Drum!"

Lusk, still not yet recovered and still bringing back his elbow was unable to stop the attack as Lexon's fist slammed into his abdomen. But for a moment there was nothing. To them it was seconds while in reality it was but a second. The wolf's fist exploded in a loud shockwave of force as Lusk's body fling in backwards direction at great speed, smashing into a boulder a ways away.

Lexon uses his Shade Drum, (KP 69 -> 45), inflicting 12 damage to Lusk! (Lusk HP 75 -> 63) And Lusk is knocked out of melee range from Lexon!

As his three fingered hands grasped at the rock to pull himself free, Lusk shook his head. "That darkness of his...could it be an earthly magic?"

Jumping free of the boulder, Lusk rushed over back to the open fighting area, vaulting carefully over the dozen's of spectators

Lusk uses his action to get within melee range of Lexon!

As he reached the area, the ache in his chest gave him pause. He focus'd on his opponents, who glanced back at him casually. Lusk became intent on keeping him within his sight, he'd be able to discern the flow of his movements then...

Lusk burn's an AP (AP 4 -> 3) to use the Dodge action! His Reflex is increased by 4 until his next turn!

Lexon took a step forward. His shimmered and an orb of dark purple energy flared in his.

"I've already used a third of my energy..." the wolf thought before swinging his arm forward. The orb launched. It's target was ready, already watching his opponent's movement! Lusk kicked off the ground and dodged out of the way swiftly.

"Tch..."

Lexon throws an Energy Attack, (KP 45 -> 41), but misses!

Careful not to pat himself on the back over his evasion of the last attack, Lusk dashed forth as soon as one foot reached the ground. Readying his horn at last, he seemed to catch Lexon off guard with it's range.

Swinging powerfully, his long arm and horn worked well to catch Lexon in his attempted retreat. The hard weapon slammed into his fur coated arm, shooting moderate pain up and down it as he was knocked aside, still on both feet.

Lusk attempts a Weapon Attack, aiming (AP 3 -> 2) for Lexon's arm successfully and dealing 11 damage! (HP 32 -> 21)

Lexon get's disadvantage on his next attack roll!

Lexon's eye winced in pain as his arm's fell limp for a second as he tried to recover. He kicked off the ground into a leap and attempted a swift kick. But as he did so the pain caused his muscles to contract and the kick narrowly missed it's mark.

Lexon attempted to attack Lusk, but missed!

Lusk tightened his grip on his mighty horn, ready for another attack as the audience cheered.

"Shade Canon," The wolf shouted, it wasn't time to hold back against an opponent like Lusk (Even if it was a spar!) His arm slammed into the namekian's stomach. His body flared in darkness and gravity seemed to shift for a moment. Then, before Lusk could react in kind energy fired from the wolf's palm and immediate pain radiated through his body as blood seemed to trickle out of his mouth.

Lexon burns an AP, (AP 3 -> 2), to use Shade Canon, (KP 41 -> 22), inflicting 52 damage to Lusk! (HP 63 -< 11) Shade Canon has Limited Shots! (Shade Canon 3 -> 2)

Lusk's body was sent back from the inpact slightly, and in this slight moment of peace the wolf took a short breather.

"That attack'll be it for Lusk!" one of the crowd called out, drowned in the chatter.

"So that Lexon guy is gonna be the winner? I never see him around..." another spoke up, "Those attacks of his are kinda gloomy to..."

Clutching a newly formed hole in his stomach, Lusk gasped as he kicked his bodies healing into top gear. The purple wound foamed up, slowly closing as the Namekian grunted uncomfortably. The crowd grew rather silent over the peculiar scene...

Lusk uses his race’s ability to use Active Regeneration, using 36 KP to heal 18 HP (KP 81 -> 45); (HP 11 -> 29)

Panting for breath, Lusk's face expression was hard to interpret. His horn had fallen to the side, and he didn't seem eager to burden himself with the weight at the moment.

"Heh...hehe..." Lusk began to chuckle, before clutching a bloody fist in front of him, "What was it you said, that I should have chosen someone more capable?"

His fist crackled with ki, a fair amount of power coming to the forefront in his knuckles. Immediately the crowd was back to full volume, claims of who would win reaching both ways. They were soon yelling to nothing however, as both fighters disappeared in quick blurs once again.

As Lusk put Lexon back on the defensive, the wolf-man actually having to keep on his toes despite his sparing partner having been greatly wounded moments before. To dodge one leg movement, as it turns out a feint, Lexon kicked off into the sky. Lusk took the opportunity to corner him in the air above.

And yet when Lusk fired off his glowing punch, Lexon was able to twist himself out of harms way impressively.

Lusk burns an AP (2 ->1) to successfully charge a punch (KP 45 -> 36) for Lexon, but misses!

Without delay Lexon bought his arm down as it flared in that same aura of darkness, "Encore! Shade Drum!!!"

Lusk's eyes widened as the attack from before returned, a small twinge of energy swept through his body.

Boom!

The fist exploded in that similar shockwave, launching both Lexon and Lusk in either direction away from one another, Lexon kicking back as soon as he landed and made distance. Meanwhile Lusk crashed into the ground with a mass of dust flying up as he skid for a second.

Encore!!! Lexon returns his Shade Drum to the stage, (KP 25 -> 1), inflicting 13 damage to Lusk and knocking him out of melee range! (Lusk HP 29 -> 16)
But that's not all! Lexon burns an AP, (AP 2 -> 1), to get further out of range!

This time Lusk was firmly planted in his crash site, this time the dirt. He began to heal his newly forming bruises, and consider his options...

He ended up letting himself catch a breather a bit to long...

Lusk uses his race’s ability to use Active Regeneration, using 20 KP to heal 10 HP (KP 45 -> 25); (HP 16 -> 26)

The crowd had gone silent and Lexon was panting very visibly.

"Hey, did he just win?!" The crowd began wondering what was going on as the two fighters were quite a ways away and no action had happened for at least a few seconds.

"I've used most of my energy at this point," He began to catch his breath.

Lexon rests, recovering 2 HP, 3 KP, and 1 AP! (HP 34 -> 36, KP 1 -> 4, AP 1 -> 2)

Rising out of the dirt, Lusk spit up some fresh mud, reaching his feet. His vision was blurry for a moment, but he shook it off with confidence. Crouching for a moment he took off at full speed, in a straight line for Lexon.

Lusk uses his movement to Dash into melee range with Lexon!

In the moment, Lexon's naturally calm mind actually raced to predict the Namekian's next move. Would he throw a punch? A kick? Would he fire a ki blast? Might he unleash some new technique of his own?

But the speed the giant approached gave time for none of that, as his entire body successfully slammed into Lexon's.

Lusk burns an AP (AP 1->0) during his Dash to successfully Full Speed Tackle, rolling a natural 20! Both fighters take 12 damage! (Lusk HP 26 -> 14) (Lexon HP 36 -> 24)

Both fighters are knocked prone!

Lexon coughed as he became winded, both him and Lusk tumbling along the ground.

Lexon uses his action to get up no longer Prone!

Using that to his advantage, Lexon jumped to his feet and kicked off on landing. In the air he extended his hand and his dark purple energy emitted as a blast. As he landed the hurdling blast met it's mark with an explosion and he quickly fell to a knee in exhaustion.

Lexon uses an Energy Attack, (KP 4 -> 0), inflicting 18 damage to Lusk (Nat 1)! (Lusk HP 14 -> 0)


It has been decided! Winner: Lexon!!!


Lusk's body lay there for a moment. The wolf stepped towards him and his shadow loomed over, the Namekian's eyes began to open to the wolf's hand offering aid.

"I...still say you should have picked someone else..."
