Beta 2 Alpha Test Mock Battle Series of Superiority

OOC: The battles will not start just yet. Instead, just have your characters meet/interact as though it were a "normal" day. Once everyone has "checked in" (posted at least once), I will start the battles, so just keep that in mind.

In a city, evil stirs. Of course, the chosen warriors do not realize this, going about their day as though it were like any other. The sun shines brightly in the sky above, and it's an otherwise lovely day. Things could change, however; you can never predict those finicky summer rains, after all.

On top of a building stood Ryo looking over the town. After training with his little sister early in the morning, Ryo decided to have some relaxing time to himself before school starts. A peaceful day it started out to be.

A lone young man walked down the street of a derelict neighborhood early in the morning eating the last of what appeared to be a loaf of bread with cheese, meat and potatoes crudely stuffed inside. His skin was pale, his hair was a short, platinum blonde and was very muscular and wore a purple t-shirt, orange athletic wristbands with sage green highlights, orange sweatpants, generic sneakers and a pair of sunglasses that masked his glowing orange eyes.

His full name was Otis Utonium Superstar, but was not one to boast about the latter parts of his name. For most, he was merely Otis, and as he finished his sandwich he continued his walk through the town, finding peace of mind in simply exploring the city in his free time right before the commute to work began in earnest around him.

Today was nothing special as was usual for the one called Lexon. The black furred wolf planned to spend the day just like any other. He would find some nice, cozy spot. In the park, in the woods, or maybe he wouldn't leave home at all. Thinking about the effort it'd take for was tiring, but ultimately Lexon decided it was worth it to get the best spot of the day!

It didn't  take long for him to find his spot. Pretty soon the wolf lay under a tree. It was just right. The branches and leaves lay shade just passed his eyes, keeping them from the sun's rays. While also leaving the sun to keep him warmer than if he was completely under shade.

In any case...
Nothing could go...
Wrong...
[Snore]

As the suns shines in the sky, everything seems perfect. Seconds later a young but large man with tan skin and short black hair steps out of a very large gym. He was also wearing a white Therma Training Hoodie,had a red single sling backpack that seemed to contain more than it should, and was sporting a pair of military colored cargo pants.
With a look of dissapointment he walks down the street taking out a bottle of water and drinks.
He came to this city hoping that the rumors of inhumanly strong fighters had some truth to them.
Sadly, he has been to 10 different fighting gyms in the past 2 hours but all have failed to make him get serious.

He figures maybe he'll just check out the nearest book store and relax
For now . . .

Inside of a dark alleyway a man carried a bag, something inside thrashing about as it let out some muffled screams. The man payed it no heed and simply tossed the bag into the back of a black SUV where two men in black suits awaited him.

"Target secured, now moving to export route." The man said into the communication piece in his ear.

"Excellent, and ahead of scheduled as usual agent Shinjo." one of the men in black nodded his head at Shinjo and handed him a small envelop.

"A little extra for your troubles, courtesy of the president." Shinjo nodded back and watched as the two men entered the SUV and drove off.

"With my task complete, may I ask of my request?" Shinjo asked his superiors. He could hear some key strokes, his request being looked up.

"Your request has been seen, and after the success of your last few missions the higher ups have approved it. Your twenty four hours of radio silence begins when you see fit." A smile spread across Shinjo's face.

"I would like to begin now."

"Confirmed, use your time wisely." With that the com went dead and Shinjo no longer heard the other voice. He let out a relaxed sigh, his stern stance slacking as he placed his hands in his pockets.

"The hoops I jump through for a day off..." Shinjo groaned as he walked down the alley. As he wondered what he could do he looked into the envelop, the money in it was...sizable.

Needless to say he was expecting this to be a good day.

Indeed, our fighters had relatively normal days today, in the city. Their definition of normal may not match with what society deems normal, but that isn't the point. What is important, is that for the most part, each of the fighters were following routine.

A routine that was soon to be shattered, when a distant rumbling could be heard. No...not a rumbling. It was more like several jet engines were "whooshing"... and the sound was getting closer, and closer.

OOC: At least one person posts after me. Once I post next, we start our first proper mock battle as a group. Get yourselves ready to throw dice, shout your moves in Skype, and be ready for whatever.

After fives minutes of staring at the Toogle Map app on his Samsung and dashing through the hustle and bustle of the city Arashi finally arrives at a book store. Arashi begins to light up with excitement at the thought of finally reading the conclusion of his favorite comic book crossover "Static Shock vs Cole Magrath".
With a pleased sigh Arashi thinks begins to himself.
"It's been a fun five issues but the curtains got to go down at some point. I wonder if I could master Electromagnetism one day.

He pauses for a moment then laughs at himself.
"Ha ha ha . . ha nah." Just as Arashi's laughter concludes he attempts to reach for the handle of the door until . . . he hears it.

His head jerks to the right and he realizes . . . . something is racing towards the city at a pretty good speed.

Whatever is coming Arashi's saiyan instincts tell him it probably isn't good.
"You know, a sane person would probably turn around and keep walking." With a mischievous grin he then says, "It's a good thing I'm not that boring."
He lets go of the door handle and begins to walk towards the source of the sound.
"Who knows, maybe I'll finally get some answers."

The rumbling became noticed by all, even shaking Lexon to attention as he began.

You see, none of these fighters knew something bad had happened in another part of the world. The swarm began to grow closer. As it did so, those paying attention to the rumbling realized they were staring at... golden and silver colored robots--machines, humanoid in shape. There were dozens if not hundreds of them now, descending on the city.

And it just so happened a good number of them were close to our heroes.

Otis goes first!

Otis stopped in place at the sight of the visitors, his eyes tracing several of them trying to determine their intent. The young man weighed the pros and cons of ignoring the machines and continuing on his way, but as he saw the arm of a nearby robot fold in on itself and pointed at him he made his mind up.

Rushing over to the offending robot, Otis threw a right hook at it's face. The machine was able to dodge the attack with ease, and the attack drew the attention of several other robots around. Unsuccessful in landing a hit, Otis instead took his outstretched right hand and pointed it upwards in a claw shape at a robot hovering in the air. His hand briefly flashed in orange light while a burst while the sound not unlike that of a gunshot echoed from it. A burst of orange energy zoomed out from the hand and homed in on the robot's center of mass, blasting the entire torso into shreds and sending the machine to the ground.

Returning attention to his initial target, Otis lunged forward and threw an uppercut, this time finding success in connecting. The robot's chin compacted into its head with a metallic crunch, the force knocking it several feet in the air. The robot's leg however jerked mid-air, unintentionally kicking Otis square in the gut.

Wincing in pain from the sudden strike, but refusing to allow other approaching robots a chance to go for his throat, Otis jumped into the air and planted both his feet in the torso of the nearest machine, making it collapse in on itself before catching himself on his side with his hand and leaping back on his feet.

As Ryo was viewing the city, a group of prototype androids dropped from the sky, surprising the full blood saiyan.

"What the hell!" called out Ryo in surprised. "Who are you guys?" Prototype android didnt responded. Ryo glared at the prototypes. "Well, answer to this then!" Ryo shot a ki blast, but the prototype dodged the the attack with ease.

Ryo was taken back by this, but this did not stop him. Ryo charged forward ready to throw a punch, but the prototype dodged that attack as well!

"Again!" said Ryo in frustration.

Rubbing his head, the wolf rose from his resting position angered from the sudden shock.

Screams rang out from nearby. Lexon noticed the plethora of machine laying waste to anything near them. Their chrome bodies glistened brightly and burned Lexon's barely adjusted eyes.

"Damn it..." he was clearly annoyed. He stretched his neck and cracked his fingers as he leaped forth sending his arm forward, "Ha!"

A dark sphere launched forth. It's target was the center of a few of the machines.

The prototypes turned and noticed their oncoming destruction a bit late. The orb hit the ground amidst the a few before exploding; it's radius big enough to take a few out.

Lexon landed next to a few of the androids and in an attempt to destroy them quickly threw a sweeping attack!

Unfortunately Lexon misjudged his distance and (epically) failed to land a hit.

To rectify this mistake the wolf lunged ahead. He wouldn't let them escape, not after they ruined his amazing nap!!

Swiftly and forcefully his arm smashed into a few of the androids, taking them out.

Lexon exhaled. Now that he had done all that, he was slightly calmer now. But he looked around and quickly remembered there was more. This wasn't over yet.

It didn't seem like too much to ask for, just a single day out of all the others where he could just enjoy himself. He'd worked hard for it, he'd finally gotten it approved, and the very moment when he thought he'd be able to take his day off.

"This happens!" Shinjo yelled out annoyed as he watches the horde of androids attack the city he was in. More than annoyed Shinjo decided to let off some steam, looking towards the closest horde he launched, the sound of a wolf howl looming in the air as he struck several androids at once.

He wasn't just satisfied with the first attack however, but an oncoming group gave him another chance. Turning his attention around he was able to punch one of them square in its stomach. The force of the punch blew a hole in the androids stomach, and just as it sparked and smoked Shinjo grabbed hold of it and threw it towards some others.

The android collided with some others and finally exploded, taking a few more along with it.

That last attack helped burn a good portion of his frustration. But he knew it wasn't over, so he stopped and took a deep breath.

"So much for a day off."

After some running around, Arashi had finally hunted down the source of the noise. It was a horde of androids. The very thing that angers him most in this world.
"You freaks again!?!" After noticing that the enemy that laid before him were far from human, he had lost the need for restraint and Arashi charges in at the largest one.
He then throws a left hook at the face of one of the androids but the mechanical menace doesn't even flinch.

Arashi is taken back for a second but quickly realizes he can't throw random punches and expect positive results.
During his revelation, Arashi notices the androids on his left are preparing to fire an onslaught of ki blasts.
Arashi almost instantly regains his stance and throws a right hook to the ribbs of the android in front of him.
The force was so great it sent the machine flying into the other androids and then into a building.
Arashi begins to walk away as he pulls out a note pad and pencil while saying,"three. . two. . one".
With that a large explosion errupts.
"Number 21 on my Cliche Hero Hit List, walk away from an explosion like a badass, checked."

As Arashi puts away his note pad and pencil, more androids arrive to confront him.
As he enters his Muay Thai Boxing stance a dark blue aura surrounds him and Arashi says loud and clear,"Come at me bots!!!"

OOC: Alright, so with the horde defeated, we're removing stats from the equation. We've, for the moment, entered what I like to call "Free Mode". That is, you can post pretty much anything (within reason) and it'll be deemed acceptable. While you are not entirely safe in free mode, the chances of being asked to roll something is reduced; I'd only ask for a roll if damage is impending, or if I'm trying to move things along.

The horde's numbers began to rapidly thin thanks to the efforts of the five fighters. As they continued to fight, though they were by no means weaker than the numbers that continued to assault them, they found themselves being pushed towards the center of the city, step by step.

The Androids continued their attack, despite being outfought. Soon, their numbers would be gone.

OOC: So, for the next few posts, I'll let you guys post freely and try to meet up. Once everyone is together, we can move on to part 2.

As the battle rages on Arashi takes down one Android after another. He thinks to himself that taking down fodder is a bit more taxing than movies make it look.
Arashi slams a high kick into the skull of one more enemy causing it to collapse like a puppet with it's strings cut. Arashi decides to take a moment to assess the situation.
"Hhhhmmm,most people seemed to have evacuated, that's great"
he thinks with a sigh of relief.
"Interesting, there seems to be two, no four other powerful beings fighting in the city. He he he, good to know I'm not in this alone. However, so far I've dismantled 32 of these things, so if there are others still fighting. . . . .the number of threats are probably more than I first thought."

Arashi tries to piece together just why anyone would attack a city that's so average and- "GET A WAY!!!"
A loud scream pulls Arashi back to reality. Arashi takes a moment to hone in on the ki signiture of what could be human. Once he locks on he flies at full speed towards the city's center.
"Please let me make it ,plz let me make it, PLZ!"

He finally arrives at the source of the shouting and sees a scared boy and a bloody older male standing in front of him with a metal bat in his hands.
In 5 or so feet from them stands one of the androids preparing a large ki blast.
In a split second . . . it fires.
Franticly Arashi flies in towards the man and the child, then an explosion goes off.
Arashi wasn't fast enough to get them out of the way . . . .but he was at least able to block the attack!
"Arrgh . . . you two okay?" The man and child stare in disbelief; before they could say anything the android round house kicks Arashi several feet away.

As he roles back to his feet Arashi realizes what his up against. "Damn, it's one of the stronger modles!"
The android dashs towards Arashi with to ki spheres in both hand. It then tosses both directly at him. Arashi managed to dodge the first one, but the second hits him square in the chest! He staggers a big but maintains his footing. The androids switchs to close combat; big mistake.

Arashi just bobs and weaves while throwing in some quick left japs as he waits for an opening and it appears.
"NOW! Pin Point Blow!" As he shouts out the name of his signiture move, Arashi crushes the androids temple with a powerful elbow strike.

The android comes to a halt and sparks fly out of it's head.
"Good night pal." Arashi says as he sends the machine flying into a building with a thrust kick.
Arashi falls to his knees to catch his breath. He looks towards the man and the child, and points towards the center of city. "Get going, more will be on the way." The man and the boy heed Arashi's warning.

Not long too after they leave, Arashi gets up to continue the fight.

The streets where the showdown between Otis and the robot horde became littered with the smashed, burnt and scattered pieces of the latter the longer it went. The young man was not visibly breaking a sweat, but expressed a passionate yet disciplined drive towards destroying the machines around him.

Otis outstretched his hands again, assuming the same claw shape as before and fired off energy blasts from each. The impact and launching of mechanical scraps occurred before the noise the attacks made, followed quickly by the sound of the target robot falling to a ground in a lifeless thud. Otis repeated this method against the enemies surrounding him with similar results, spinning in place and angling his arms to aim.

A few of the remaining robots clustered together in the sky, each of their their arms folding back into laser cannons. Taking notice at this, Otis turned to the group, his own right forearm contorting into what resembled a high-caliber cannon. Effectively aiming from the hip, Otis fired, a flash of fire and what seemed to be smoke erupted followed near instantaneously by an elliptical orange ki blast. Quicker than the unaided eye the blast reached the relative center of the group, and only split seconds after did Otis trigger it.

A large fiery cloud violently expanded out of the sphere, the group of robots quickly consumed. A shockwave from the resulting air pressure smashed windows and triggered car alarms. Chunks of half melted, red hot metal of varying size fell like meteors in low orbit to the ground, only one grossly disfigured husk of a robot fell to the ground.

With the robots around him retreating or destroyed, Otis was alone. Some of the braver residents of the building around him cautiously opened their doors and peered out their windows. Otis restored his arm back to its original shape and looked around. As he looked around he pondered, during the fight between him and the robots he was able to detect elevated energy readings flitting about in other parts of the city. It was a fair guess to presume that there were other fighters of note in town, and they too were in the process of repelling the attacking machines.

Otis walked over the the torn remains of a nearby robot and found a tiny metal sliver in the wreckage of what used to be the machine's central processing unit. Otis gritted his teeth and used the piece of silicon to pick a piece of meat that was wedged between two of his teeth, a minor nuisance that plagued him throughout the battle that his tongue was unable to dispose of. After dislodging the piece and swallowing it, the man placed the silicon into one of his pockets and sprinted with superhuman speed through the streets to the nearest power source to identify it, his eyes dimly glowing through his shades.

The black wolf exhaled. He was able to finally relax now that the area surrounding was littered in mechanical corpses. People nearby who chose to hide instead of leave all together sighed in relief.

"Tch. There's no way I'm gonna be able to relax after that. Hmm," Lexon turned towards the city. No doubt about it, "The androids started their attack in the center of the city."

Despite this assumption, there were no further forces advancing. Perhaps others have taken care of things. In any case, there wasn't a reason to just stand around. Lexon kicked off the ground and headed off towards the center of the city!

After defeating a horde of androids Shinjo made his way to the tallest building in the city. From there he watched, not only seeing the people who lived in it running away, but noticing several other explosions in the area.

"Guess I'm not the only one fighting them." he could sense several energies around the area, each of them in battle. But of them all one seemed to catch his interest, the one he couldn't sense. He was flying above the city limit, with a skin tone that wasn't that of a human.

"Another android, but..." this other android seemed to be attacking his own kind without prejudice. It peaked Shinjo's interest, so jumping off the building he stood on he began to fly towards it.

It took a great deal of effort and even more punchs, but the number of Adroids flooding into Arashi's part of the city seem to have decreased. In the midst of the rubble,fire, android parts ,and smoke stood a satisfied warrior.
"Okay, I'm probably gonna need a new hoodie after this, but I think that was the last of them. Now where do go next?"
Then as if on cue Arashi could sense a strong Ki signature rushing towards the center of the city. It felt almost completely beast-like yet calm and controlled. The other fighters he sensed earlier seemed to be following the same course. It was strange to run into this many powerful people in one day and the chance to meet them was far too tempting.
"Time to bring this third rate terrorist attack to a close and maybe make some new friends while i'm at it. He He He" Arashi chuckles as he preps for launch
Who knows, if i'm lucky I may find a few great sparring partners."
With a cheerful grin Arashi blasted of into the air towards more danger and possibility.

Ryo been battling the androids, not having any luck.

"Huh, i sense other power levels fighting." said Ryo to himself. "Let's see, the closest one is heading towards the center of the city!" Ryo smirked as he looked over to the androids.
"Alright, rust buckets! If you still have a death wish, follow me! Ryo ran towards the center of the city with group of androids running after him.

The group of fighters that had taken on the prototypes had, by chance, been lead to the center of the city. This had not come with a low cost to the prototypes; their numbers were very thin now, and a little longer would show the end of them.

Elsewhere, in a safe location watching this mess unfold, an individual snaps his fingers. This individual is human and the finger snapping is a command to his human underlings. This individual is also decidedly not friend to these heroes.

But what has he sent after them?

OOC: Anyone's post again; just post your characters interacting and finishing off some androids.

Shinjo flew up towards the unknown android, knocking down a few more on his way. "Hey there." Shinjo called out, though either the android did not hear him or was ignoring him all together. "Silent type, I suppose there's always one somewhere." again he seemed to be ignored. As he watched the android fight he eventually noticed that they were being surrounded.

"How many more of these are there?" he wondered, as the other androids began to close in. Without any words said both Shinjo and the other android attacked in kind, each blasting away with little effort. When the last was destroyed the other android simply floated there motionless.

"So, are you able to talk or...?" before he could speak again the other android turned to him, blasting a beam of Ki. It flew quickly landing on its target, an androids behind Shinjo. he let out a whistle as he watched the android's pieces fall, then turned back to the unnamed android.

"Conversation in battle, leads to death." he said before flying away towards more hordes.

"Of all the fighters here I end up with Mr. Sunshine...." Shinjo groaned, even if he wasn't talking, the other android at least seemed to be on the same side as him. And he knew well that there were strength in numbers.

As Arashi continues to run towards the city with several Androids flying not too far behind. "I respect the persistence but you've literally seen me decimate dousins of your buddies. Why are you still trying to fight me if you know you stand no chance?"

As if enraged by this statement the horde of androids unleashed a storm of Ki blasts. Instead of dodging Arashi brings himself to a stop and starts to deflect the blasts with a rush of left and right jabs. Most of the redirected ki blasts were knocked to the sides of the street Arashi stood in, but a few fly right back towards their source and lets out a large "BOOM".
"Told ya this would happen."

As Arashi finishs examining his knuckles for any serious damage he realizes he is fine for now, but within seconds the head of an android falls out of the sky. Arashi looks up to see two fighters in the air taking on a large number of enemies.

"Hey! Stop hogging all the fun! I haven't even gotten to warm up yet!"
With that Arashi, rockets off into the sky to help take out the remaining number of attackers.

Ryo continue to fly away from the androids to draw them to the center of the city.

"Okay, enough of this." muttered Ryo in annoyance. Ryo launched a ki blast, that actually knocked into one, collided with a row of androids, and destroyed them. "Yes, it actually hit this time!" The rest of the prototype androids glared at Ryo as they shot some ki blasts at the young saiyan. Ryo manage to dodge the ki assault. "Keep following me, assholes!" Ryo rocket off with the prototypes following towards the center of the city.
