Arashi V Shinjo Dawn Of Badassery

It was time. Two fighters with drastically different background meet in the land of Asgard to do battle. As ordered by Thor all Asgardians must attend the event that shall decide the true warrior among Earth's fighting unit.

The battle is taking place in Asgard's training ground. No weapons,no outside assistant, and no time limit.

Arashi walks in wearing his robe and his theme song playing almost as loud as the sounds from the audience. He removes the robe and lets lose a flurry of punches into the air. With his warm-up complete the young Saiyan awaits his opponent.

From the other side of the field walked the second combatant. clothes in only leather leggings Shinjo's muscles were in full display for all to see. The scars along his arms telling the stories of battles past.

After in a deep breath Shinjo let out a mighty roar that shook the area and kicked up dust around him. The sound of his warriors shout caused many of the gods present to cheer in response.

Shinjo then looked to Arashi, and slowly began walking forward, one fist extended outwards.

Arashi quickly makes his way towards his adversary with his fist outstretched. Once they were range they displayed their mutual respect with a fist bump.

Arashi took a moment to examine Shinjo then smiled and spoke.
"You know I've heard a lot about you. You're a popular topic amoung quite a few Fighters and internet blogs. They say that being your opponent is like signing up for an execution. Ha ha this is gonna be awesome."

Shinjo started taking a few steps back "There are quite a few that can contest to that. Some official, some not. But don't worry, I don't plan to take it that far." After a few stretches Shinjo took up his fighting pose.

"Now that our combatants have made themselves acquainted, it is time for the main event!" Thor slowly dropped in between the two, a large grin spread across his face. With his hammer spinning over his head, lighting sparking around it. Thor eagerly looked to both fighters.

"The battle will commence when the mighty lightning strikes. Combatants, are you ready?"

Shinjo smirked, a slow nod his answer.

After performing his stretches and breathing exercise Arashi took his southpaw stance.
With a gleeful grin he responded to the son of Odin.
"You bet"

Rules: Each fighter can do one "move action" (combat move as it's called) and one regular action (attack, do a "specific" movement). To increase their number of STANDARD actions, the fighter may burn 1 AP. There is nothing you can do to regain AP short of eating a Senzu or a story event that replenishes your AP. In other words, once they're gone, they're gone for the rest of the episode. So think carefully before you use them.

Shinjo's Turn!

"Begin!"

Bringing his hammer up, a bolt of lightning lit up the sky. Its light blanket the arena in white, many of the onlookers having go cover their eyes. And just as quickly as the light shined, it faded away. It was a moment so brief many did not react in time, but as vision returned, they saw that some had.

Arashi and Shinjo hadn't just been unaffected by the blinding light, but had reacted with pinpoint accuracy. Both having moved in near unison, their first strike managed to cross fists, and both had land a strike across the face of the other. Both smirked around the others fist, the fire of combat set ablaze in their eyes.

Both shot backwards, restarting themselves for another attack. This time Shinjo was first to act. Sprinting at full speed Shinjo launched towards Arashi. Shinjo brought up his knee with great force, but his first attack was anticipated. Arashi brought up his guard and defended himself. Arashi then pushed upwards, forcing Shinjo into the air. Once in the sky Arashi brought a fist up, slicing through the air like a knife, Shinjo only barley able to avoid it.

But Arashi was able to follow up, just as he was coming back down he struck Shinjo with both his feet, knocking him towards the ground once more. The floor crumbled from the force, but Shinjo managed to hold strong. Looking up he saw Arashi dropping down on him, and after pushing himself off the ground Shinjo moved out of his opponents path.

Arashi crashed down on the ground, the strike causing it to crumble further. But he wasn't done and charge again, kicking off the ground. He threw one last punch, this time seeming to connect, but his fist cut through Shinjo's form as though it was no longer there. And soon he realized that it wasn't, and he'd attacked an after image. He looked to his side and saw Shinjo's foot coming towards him, and it connected.

The strike sent Arashi spiraling away until finally landing on the ground. He managed to rise again, shaking his hand from managing to bring up some manner of guard in time. But he wasn't able to shake off some of the damage, indicated by the bruise on his face.

Though the last strike was a mighty one Arashi couldn't help but smile in amazement. He had found an opponent he could call an equal and possible even a superior. With all his might he kicked off the ground and charged towards Shinjo! Once in range Arashi through a mighty right hook but once again striking an after image. "Not this time" Arashi thought to himself as he ducked a high kick from behind. Attempting a counter attack Arashi lunged towards his enemy with an onslaught of punches but was met with little success. The assassin danced around the storm of rights and lets with incredible speed and efficiency. Managing to avoid getting anything more than a few grazes.

However Shinjo was doing more than just dodging. Within moments he had gotten used to Arashi's rhythm and found his chance to land a devastating punch . . . . or so thought. The young boxer reacted with such speed the audience was in awe. Arashi had immediately ceased his barrage of punches and caught Shinjo's punch. In less than a second his right hand grabbed onto his foe's fore arm.
Before Shinjo could react Arashi had thrown him over head into the ground.
His opponent laid defensesless on the ground and Arashi captlized on this moment. A downward punch was sent flying towards Shinjo's face but he did not seem to care. With a large grin he log rolled out of danger and returned to his stance as if nothing happened. Leaving Arashi smashing nothing but the ground. The saiyan returned to his stance with a new understanding of his circumstances. This confrontation will be far from easy. . . .

Shinjo started walking forward, cracking his knuckles as he stared towards Arashi. And then, he vanished, his after image dissolving from the spot he once stood at. Arashi took a step back, both hands extended outwards. To many the only sound in the air were the cheers for combat. But he could hear something else, the faint movement of a man moving beyond what the eye could see.

With eyes closed he took in a deep breath, and then ducked just as Shinjo's fist came into view. "Not this time." Arashi grabbed hold of Shinjo by the wrist, throwing his weight and slamming Shinjo on the ground.

But he wasn't going to let go, and after wrapping his legs around Shinjo's arm he managed to lock in an arm bar. He pulled as hard as he could, Shinjo seemingly unable to break free. "Like hell!" tightening his fist Shinjo's captured arm flexed, his muscles becoming hardened.

To Arashi's surprise Shinjo managed to stand, the arm bar still in place. But Shinjo knew of  way to get out, after bracing himself Shinjo began to spin. At first it was slow, but it picked up, the speed increasing until the wind spiraled around them. It became too much and the force caused Arashi to be flung off Shinjo's arm.

Shinjo then charged, ready to strike, but Arashi wasn't about to take it. Recovering from being thrown Arashi dug his hands into the earth beneath his feet. And after a powerful pull and the ground cracking, he managed to lift a large chunk of the earth out of the ground.

Seeing no reason to avoid it, Shinjo instead went through, punching cleanly into the stone and coming out the other side as it shattered. But once he was clear he saw that Arashi was nowhere to be seen.

Shinjo's head jerked back and forth trying to locate his opponent. It didn't take long for him to realize his target was no longer grounded. He could hear the sound of Arashi cutting through the air as he came crashing down from the sky with a missile dropkick.

Though the sun's rays blinded him Shinjo managed to leap out of the way just in time. With an explosion of kinetic force Arashi's landing sent a grand shock wave through the stadium. So powerful that it ruptured the ground and scattering a cloud of dust across the arena! However Arashi's pursuit did not end there. With both of his legs in a squat position and a lock on his adversarial's Ki signature he was ready for another strike. This time a Ki enforced attack was coming Shinjo's way.

With a cold expression Arashi stated "Dodge this." It was this monstrous dash that broke the sound barrier and immediately brought Arashi right in front of Shinjo. With a fierce shout Arashi cried out, "Pile Bunker Strike!!!" The assassin's eyes widened in shock of the pure speed of this oncoming assault. He knew that dodging this would be impossible, so before Arashi's punch was let loose Shinjo put up his guard and took the heavyweight's blow head on! Unfortunately what Shinjo had not accounted for was the nature of this attack. It was not meant to simply damage the opponent but tear through their defenses as well. As a result Shinjo's guard was less effective and he was sent flying backwards as the dust cloud was blew away by the resulting shock wave. Though it didn't take long for Shinjo to get back up he was not left unharmed.

Shinjo took a deep breath and lowered his stance, his body was shaking, but not from fear and not from taking damage. It was in response to seeing the power Arashi had displayed, and the desired to return in kind. "Well not, if we're showing." Shinjo jumped off the ground and charged, his body disappearing in a flash. He appeared a moment later, but with multiple after images in toe.

Arashi took a step back, trying to figure out which could be the real one. But his time was short, so he choose the next best thing. "Guess I'll just dodge all of them." Just as the first began to attack he did just that. One after another as they attacked, Arashi avoided, and with quick retaliations he managed to dispatch each after image.

Eventually however there was one left, one he charged head on. He threw a punch, fully prepared to strike back, but he was surprised when his fist went through it once more. "What?" he said in surprise, that was the last after image, and Shinjo was nowhere to be seen. But after a moment of silence, Arashi felt something, a sudden surge and it was coming from directly above him.

He looked up, and he saw him, Shinjo, dropping down over him. But there was something else to it. Shinjo's arm, the one he had pulled back preparing for his strike wasn't just glowing but was surging in power. Arashi sensed the danger, and his instincts took over right after. Digging his foot into the ground Arashi pushed back as hard as he could and out of the path.

Shinjo's fist hit the ground, and the impact was nothing short of grand. The ground cratered, chunks of earth sent flying everywhere, and the resulting shock wave threatened to knocked even the viewers off their seats. Even Thor couldn't help but look in awe at the feat accomplished by a human.

"You're a bag of surprises aren't you?" said Arashi as Shinjo pulled his fist free of the ground. Shinjo cracked his knuckles and looked back at Arashi with a small chuckle.

"You don't know the half of it."

As Arashi looked around and assessed the damage he shivers at the thought of taking that last attack head on.
"You know after this fights over you need to teach me that move."
Shinjo lets out a small chuckle. "That's a right you're going to have to earn".
"Is that right? Okay then . . . . challenge accepted!" With that Arashi charges into Shinjo's crater at amazing speed. However Shinjo quickly noticed an irregularity in Arashi's movement. The Saiyan's Rhythm had become much more snake-like. After some swift foot work Arashi was within range of Shinjo. Arashi let loose a right hook aimed at his opponents rib. However Shinjo was ready for him and blocked the attack allowing him to roll with the punch.

Once Arashi's punch reached its apex Shinjo reacted, grabbing hold of Arashi's arm he flipped him over his shoulder and attempted to slam him on the ground. But Arashi was prepared, managing to land on his feet, even if his position was a little awkward as a result. Shinjo let go of Arashi's arm and brought up on of his knees, but Arashi was able to react in time. Turning over he put up a guard and allowed the force of the knee to push him away.

"No you don't!" Shinjo kicked off the ground and was on top of Arashi again, letting loos a flurry of punch and kicks in quick succession. The saiyan put up his guard best his could, unable to find an opening in Shinjo's attack. Shinjo only relented when one final strike, a strong kick against Arashi's guard sent him flying back.

Arashi landed on his feet and skid to a halt, he gripped his arms soon after, feeling the sting of Shinjo's attack and taking note of the various bruises along his flesh.

Arashi bounces back in retaliation with his on own barrage of punchs but it was useless. His opponent danced around them with ease. Punch after punch and kick after kick Shinjo just kept finding was around each attack. Soon the Neo human striked back with a swift high kick to Arashi's jaw. By just the skin of his teeth the boxer barely managed to side out of danger. With Shinjo on one leg Arashi took the shoot and sent out a right straight towards Shinjo's face, unfortunately he had already prepared for this.
With seemingly no effort shinjo let himself fall back on the ground thus avoiding the punch. Then as if he were some kind of human torch Shinjo radiated with intense white Ki and took off like a rocket towards the sky.
"Hold it!" Arashi shouted as he gave chase to his now airborne target.

The crowed continued to cheer as they two fighters took the battle to the sky, their auras flashing as they collided mid air. Each skillfully dodging and or blocking the others attacks, neither leaving an opening to land. Eventually however Shinjo charged in and grabbed hold of Arashi.

"Shit!" Arashi hissed, slamming his elbow on Shinjo's back in an attempt to loosen his hold. But Shinjo refused, and pushing as hard as he could forced the two of them into a downwards drop.

"And now!" The two spun, quickly, enough for Arashi to look track of their position. And giving Shinjo time to act. He threw Arashi towards the ground but his aim was lacking as Arashi fell towards the stage.

Onlookers began to flee in a panic that Arashi might crash. But even as they'd cleared the area Arashi managed to stop only inches from the seats. Though he took a moment to sigh he couldn't enjoy it, Shinjo already preparing to follow up. Kicking off the ground Arashi launched himself out of the way as Shinjo crashed into the stage.

"Now it's getting lively!" Thor laughed as he watched the destruction.

The audience looked on in disbelief at the pure strength of these mortals. Without missing a bit Shinjo continued his assault on Arashi. The two crossed punches repeatedly with neither side showing any signs of giving in. As this clash of wills raged on the ground beneath them began to falter from the strain of the continuous shockwaves. It seemed that the next collision would decimate a large portion of the stadium. However this time there was no clash, only Arashi's fist landing square in Shinjo's face!

With a thunderous BOOM Shinjo was sent flying into the arena's center. Shinjo immediately rose up from the rubble blooded and amazed. "Cocky bastard changed the trajectory of the punch at the last second and landed a counter. Not bad but-"
Before he could even finish his sentence Shinjo was sent to the ground again. Only this time it was a rolling axe kick to the back of his head.

As Shinjo laid on the ground the crowd's cheers were replaced with slince. Arashi had returned to the ground with a satisfied look on his face.
"Okay dude I think that's enough of a warm-up. How's about me and you start getting serious"?

Shinjo slowly rose from the ground, silent as he patted himself off of all the dust that'd settled on him. After a while he stood there, emotionless, unreadable. But that eventually changed when he started to laugh. Though confused Arashi didn't drop his guard, he'd seen enough surprises from Shinjo to allow himself to fall for another.

"It'd hard to admit, but I can't beat you..." Arashi arched a brow,

"Wait, are you giving-"

"Not at this level at least." something began to change around Shinjo, an aura different than what Arashi had seen until now began seeping from his body. "So then, I'll have to take it up a notch...or two!" Shinjo crossed his arms, the pressure he was giving off beginning to increase.

His veins began to bulge, his skin began to darken and his scars started to glow. The ground crackled as his ki continued to surge higher and higher. "Second gate...gate of healing, open!" Shinjo brought both arms down as his power erupted.

His eyes now turned to Arashi who was shocked at Shinjo's display. "I hope you're ready, Arashi!" Shinjo charged, the dust erupting from the ground moments later in a delayed reaction. Bringing one arm back he charged his power into it, "You won't get away from this one, Texas...SMASH!" Shinjo was ontop of Arashi in an instant, and the Saiyan didn't have time to avoid it.

A strong defense was all he could muster as Shinjo unleashed his strike, the force was explosive, he's sure he felt something tear inside of him. The punch launched him so hard he didn't just crash into the stands, he crashed clean through them, and Shinjo followed.

"It just keeps getting interesting, come, let us see who will stand victorious!" Thor commanded as he and the others followed after the fighters.

As the dust cleared arashi came into view. Though he stood standing with his guard still firm his left arm was badly injured.
Arashi looked on in amazement of the fighter before him. For the first time in his life Arashi was. . . scared. However the training and experiences prior to this taught him a few things. Any opponent can be beaten. "Ha. . . thought you said you weren't gonna go that far" Arashi asked with a sly grin.
Shinjo simpley replied with a grin of his own and a nonchalant shrug.
"Oh that's how it's gonna be? I hope for Thor's sake this Arena wasn't very important."
Thor jerked his head in responce.
"Come again?"
But the prince of Asgard was a little too late. As Arashi flexed his muscles and focused his chi the stadium began to shake. Within seconds his Chi and body began to turn golden. After that the arena was consumed in a bright Golden Light as cracks throughout the area formed from the pure force of the transformation. Soon the energy focused into a pillar of light and at it's center stood Arashi! A False Super Saiyan!

"Okay! You ready for round 3?" Arashi roared!

As he erupted with power he flew off like a rocket in a mad dash towards Shinjo. However this "mere human" stood firm with his very soul burning with excitement. As soon as the young saiyan was in range Shinjo let lose an upper cut so fast only Thor could see it. Well Thor and Arashi anyway. Before Shinjo had realized he had hit an after imagine Arashi was already slamming a Round House kick into the right side of his ribs and sending him crashing through several buildings.
"That was payback for the Superman punch earlier!" Arashi shouted. Unfortunately Arashi still felt the strain this power put on his body. He shook it off and flew towards Shinjo.

The rubble around him began to float off the air as Shinjo's screams began to echo all around Asgard. Eventually his Ki erupted sending all the derbies flying in every direction. Arashi managed to dodge it just in time to see Shinjo closing in on him. Shinjo threw a punch which Arashi blocked, the impact sending out another shockwave.

Arashi then lunged forward closing in on Shinjo even further delivering an uppercut to his stomach, at least, that's what he intended. But in the last second Shinjo grabbed hold of his wrist and stopped the punch short of touching him. He brought up a knee but Arashi dodged it by the skin of his chin.

Arashi and Shinjo parted, both dropping downwards at a grate pace before both slamming on the ground. The impact could be felt all around as more cracks began to form. Thor seeing, dispite enjoying the spectacle, thought it best for a change of location.

"Heimdall, portal, somewhere void of life." The sky lit up as a wall of colors dropped down on all present and both Shinjo and Arashi found themselves in a different location. A wasteland of ice, some several degrees below freezing, but none present were moved by the chill.

"Perfect," Arashi said with a crack of his knuckles, Shinjo himself suppressing a flinch as he felt the strain of the gates taking effect.

With no sign of being bothered by the cold Arashi dashed towards his foe leaving a icy mist behind him. In response Shinjo did the same. They were in front of each other in seconds and with that a hell storm of of punches and kicks were exchanged with neither side landing a decisive blow.

They immediately took to the the sky continuing their contest of skill and strength. Suddenly Arashi manage to land an abrupt but powerful head bud. To the young saiyan's surprise Shinjo struck back with a headbutt of his own. As blood began to trickle down from Arashi's temple he couldn't help but smile. "Man you are fun. Last time I head-butted a guy he was in the hospital for several months.I mean-" Arashi said as he rubbed his chin.

"He was trying to take over Texas with some kind of magic Jewel, but I still felt pretty bad about it." Shinjo stared at Arashi with a blank face. Moments later he then uttered the harsh truth. " people like you who pretend to be stupid I probably the most annoying. Drop the act before I drop u."
Arashi laughed "Try it buddy".

Arashi may have been putting up a tough front but it was clear his strength was fading fast

Shinjo was quick to oblige, charging again Shinjo slammed into Arashi pushing him back. Arashi, though caught off guard managed to recover, grabbing hold of Shinjo he tossed the human over as hard as he could. Shinjo managed to correct himself and slid on the ice, meanwhile Arashi was hot on his trail.

Bringing both arms up Shinjo slammed them into the ice below him knocking up snow and ice alike, blocking Arashi's view. "Like I'm gonna fall for that!" Arashi jumped straight up, moving out of the range of the cloud of snow. He looked down, waiting for everything to settle and so he could see his opponent again.

But as he waited he noticed something, the snow was moving in a strange fashion. Not only did it begin to spiral, it began to move upwards towards him. "Oh shi-" was all Arashi could say as the cyclone reached him. As a mix of snow and ice pieces began to strike away at him Arashi tried to find his way out.

And though he found it, it wasn't in the manner he'd hoped. Hidden in the cyclone he'd created Shinjo managed to get the drop on Arashi. Slamming his fists down on Arashi and sending him downwards while simultaneously dispersing the cyclone. Arashi fell all the way and through the hard ice below.

Though he managed to land a hit, it didn't change that Shinjo was still feeling damage as well from his own power.

Shinjo soon shakes off the pain and proceeded to descend towards Arashi’s position at high speed. “You taking me seriously . . . NOW!?” Shinjo shouted as his rammed a missile drop kick toward target. Once again another enormous shockwave went of like an explosion, shattering the frozen ground below as a gust of icy wind forced the Asgardians back. Well, all but a smiling Thor. Once the icy chilly mist had cleared Arashi stood strong with Shinjo’s feet in his grasp. “Heres your answer!” Arashi tightened his grip right before he attempted to slam Shinjo face first onto the floor. However Shinjo was quick to react and stopped the impact with his hands. Following that up Shinjo put all his psychical strength into his lower body, rolled forward, and flung Arashi toward a far away iceberg. Luckily the distance gave Arashi time to prep for impact and land on top of it. As soon as the super saiyan looked towards his point of origin Shinjo was already above him with hands engulfed by intense green aura while in an odd stance.

“Wolf Fang . . .”-with those two words Arashi knew what was coming and he he was ready for it. “Machine Gun . . “

With fire in their eyes both fighter unleashed the full force of their physical strength on each other as vortex of wind began to form around them from the combined air pressure of each attack! Both their endless flow of punches continued with each of them taking the damage head on. It seemed as if neither would give into the other, until Shinjo found his opening. Have no doubt that he capitalized on it with lightning fast kick to Arshi’s jaw. Arashi was only dazed for a moment and that was more than Shinjo needed. Before Arashi could knew what was happening two open palms hit him right in the chest. “Thinking you could withstand all my hits was a big mistake on your part.” Shinjo said with a pleased grin. Sadly his moment of triumph was short lived as his opponent had gotten both his hands on Shinjo’s head. “Underestimating the endurance of a heavy weight seems to be worse if you ask me.” With his enemy in his grasp Arashi wasted no time in bashing his knee into Shinjo’s face and forcing him several feet back.

Arashi continued the assault with a left hook followed by a right uppercut leaving Shinjo shook but not beaten. Arashi knew he didn’t have all that much time left and the need to end the fight was becoming more apparent. However Shinjo simply refused to go down! He continuously blocked or dodged every heavy hit that came his way with mind boggling speed. Arashi was getting frustrated; the moment his transformation expires he would be at Shinjo’s mercy. He continued to keep throwing punch after punch getting more impatient with each blow. Suddenly Shinjo’s left guard had dropped; this was Arashi’s chance! He moved in to finish this with one more right hook but what the Saiyan failed to notice was that it was fake-out. Instead of striking down the human Arashi was met with a powerful “Jolt Counter” to the face. “Payback for last time.” Shinjo said as Arashi fell to one knee. “Falling for such a simple trick. You disappoint me.” Shinjo prepared to write the final page this fight and brought down a chop to the back of the Saiyan’s neck. The chop hit it’s mark and slammed Arashi into the ground with a resounding BOOM! It seemed as though the fight was over but right as everyone was ready to write the Boxer off . . . .
“I’M UP!” Arashi yelled as he lifted his head. With a battered body and blood running down his head the Saiyan managed to bounce back like yugioh player after an epic top deck. However though both fighters seemed more than willing to keep going they’ve both absorbed to much damage and have started to succumb to the strain of their respective transformations. There was only one thought going through both their mind was “this must end”. Both their auras immediately became more intense forming a green and gold tower of light. Shinjo’s right arm began to glow more brightly followed by Arashi’s right arm. The two of them took a moment to take in this glorious moment, the intensity, the rush that came with facing a real challenge, and a great sense of satisfaction. With all their remaining strength the two warriors rushed towards one another with Signature moves at the ready. In a burst of light they hit each other simultaneously causing a devastating wave of Ki to surged throughout the area.

As the battlefield began to clear Thor saw the result of the fight. Arashi stood over an half conscious Shinjo barely still in his False Super Saiyan Form and as the human’s skin returned to it’s original color the result was clear. Thor smiled as he made the announcement. “The winner is Arashi of earth!!!”
The Asgardians roared in excited having finally been given a champion and in that moment Arashi returned to his base form then made his way to Shinjo. Arashi put the young man on his back and started to jog towards the crowd. “We should *huff* *huff* do this again sometime huh buddy?” Shinjo opened one of his eyes and looked at the saiyan in silence for a few moments.
“Count on it Arashi”.
